Hi Valentin, we will see how the situation will evolve, of course, artists are not encouraged to put more music on this site.

    Best regards

In fact, waiting two months for the moderation of an album is depressing.

It is also quite discouraging to think that the artists' remuneration has already fallen from 50% to 30% for a long time, and that lately, for the moderation of an album, many weeks pass (I think too many).

I decided not to publish anything until the moderation situation is normalized. For example it is frustrating to see that Christmas music (my last album) has lost the right time to be sold.

Of course, it's nice to be paid after a long time. Instead, I'm sorry to see just one month instead of a quarter.

    Greetings, waiting for better times

I's waiting for your revenue shares payments ... I don't see any payment for  2017-04 ...

The last one was "Jamendo stream licensing revenue share for 2017-03"

In your last message you said the payments will be done until last christmas.

Basically you own us revenue shares payments for almost two years, and you're not paying it is illegal.

    Hi Avi,

I've just logged into your account and I can see the revenues linked to April 2017. Can you send me per email a screenshot of your transaction tab? Do you have my direct email address?

I have experienced the same issue with another artist, the problem was cache related.

@Aufklarung: I'm sincerely sorry to hear this. For the record, our moderation team switched from one member to two and we're just about to welcome a third one to face the recent surge of uploads. We'll make sure it does not happen anymore.

    Thanks Avi!

You can send it to valentin@jamendo.com.

@Nicoco: probably the same issue, could you also send me a screenshot of what you see?

Just for the curiosity, can you try to see the same page from a private navigation tab/incognito window?

    Thanks for the help Cedric!

If it doesn't work, clearing the cache should do it. If it doesn't, let me know, I can further inspect this.

It's ok, I think it's effectively a cache problem, the injection appears and disappears when I change page, for me, it appears only when i clicked on ">>" on the bottom after changing to page 2.
it disappears once I return on a number of page but i was able to select receive.

Thanks for your various updates Nicoco! I've had the confirmation from another artist that doing so indeed solves the problem. Garikunda could you give it a try? If it doesn't just let me know and I'll have a look with our tech team directly on Monday morning.

Thanks in advance for your update!

    Hi Valentin,

Tell me please, are payments made from the first to the tenth day of each month, or after the tenth day of the month? Will there be a delay in payments this month? What dates of this month will be paid to the authors? Thank!

    Hi Valentin,

February is almost over and, with the exception of payment for April 2017, nothing happened.

This is again disappointing as I am soon ready with a new album which I refuse to upload to Jamendo as long as any payments or injections are missing.

9 months no injections so far, it is unbelievable, how long will this go on?

Having been a Jamendo artist and supporter for ten years now, and despite repeated messages nothing seems to be changing. I came on here to see if other artists have experienced the same issues. Valentin you promised me a detailed response about a week ago that day and nothing........... so I too will not be uploading another piece of music until this is fixed for good. Im fast loosing my respect for jamendo.

    1. If there is a cash flow/ monetary issue with the company then tell us- would make more sense if Jamendo was and then explain to the artists what is going on, and if somebody has messed up then we should know about it. I respect and expect transparency and honesty.

    2. If its all a little technical glitch and its all going to just work beautifully soon when the systems are updated - then when will it be completed by ??? How long does it take to employ someone competent to fix and implement an automated payment system in this day and age ???? Surely this should be something at the very highest priority level for Jamendo..........WHEN will this be done by whats the deadline ????? nothing is more important surely than paying the artists what they have earnt for them sharing their works in good faith. Ok on the 100 euro etc limit, but in reality all accounts should be invoiced/updated each month, max every two months, enabling accounts with 100 or more to receive their money as quickly as possible. A year or more backlog is totally inexcusable. Excuse my london mouth here, but this is simply taking the piss quite frankly and im getting angry after being so patient for so long on this.

    3. Would I be right in thinking if Jamendo paid all accounts up to current date and the artists requested the money there wouldn't be the money there to pay us ? And if that's not the case why cant we just get paid ?

Jamendo you need to fix this ASAP ! such a shame such a great model and company can let the artists down like this..........I have loved it for so long, I rely on this money as part of my livelihood, this isn't some kind of silly hobby I do for a laugh.

Can you guys please recommend on similar cool sites to upload the music to?

  • Akusmatic

I totally support the statements made by themindorchestra.

Looks like more and more Jamendo Artists are getting angry, and they should do so.

No uploads until these irregularities are addressed, the next step is taking down all my material uploaded the last years.

I hope that does not happen, ift it does a shitstorm is guaranteed!

    Hello everyone,

As promised, we are getting back to you with a schedule regarding the In-Store Royalties (Jamendo Stream Licensing Revenue Share) for 2017/2018.

We hope this can help you have a clearer financial overview for the year to come and bring, as much as possible, some peace of mind in the given situation.

As you’ve already noticed, we’ve made a first injection (regarding the month of April 2017) at the end of January 2019. The next In-Store Royalties injection batches will be made as follow:

    • The revenues linked to January, February & March 2018 will be visible in your account in April 2019
    • The revenues linked to April, May & June 2018 will be visible in your account in July 2019
    • The revenues linked to July, August & September 2018 will be visible in your account in October 2019
    • The revenues linked to October, November & December 2018 will be visible in your account in January 2020
    • Regarding 2017 and the remaining, open months: we’ll make sure they’re injected in batches,  in between the above mentioned payments

As you already know: the In-Store Royalties are related to our offer for stores & commercial establishments. They play the Jamendo content within their premises during a year. At the end of their contract we analyse all the data and inject the revenues accordingly in your accounts. This explains the contractual one-year window between the beginning of the customer contract and the actual injection.

All royalties and payments linked to the Catalog program (music for sync projects such as advertising videos, films, video games, etc.) will happen, as usual, between the first and the tenth of each month, if you clicked on the GET PAID button during the previous month.

We assure you that we are doing our best to sort this situation and we are also working relentlessly to create a new internal flow aiming at preventing a similar situation in the future.

Thank you very much for all your understanding and trust and we are here as always.

Hi, Sorry for my bad english i'm french.

For the payment of the year 2018 it's pretty clear, but for the late payment of 2017 (May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December 2017 for me) it's still very vague

Ok thanks Valentin for the response, at least we have some further clarity on the matter. Just a little side note- it would be a further jesture of goodwill I think I can speak for all artists here too hopefully, that any and all 2017 backlog should be paid asap and not spread over months/ the rest of the year- lets get that paid and done with then at least all we talking about is money earnt from a year ago............

    thanks

    Valentin,

I've clicked on the GET PAID button in early February (the 1st or 2nd of Feb maybe), after 2017-04 was injected. Now it's the 11th of March, and still no payout. This is unfair, incalculable, insecure and trustless. And what about e.g. 2017-05 and so on? I'm starting to get down my releases in June and putting more effort in Amurco and Rehegoo (and search for other distributors as well). And I will also take the legal actions that I've mentioned already, because Jamendo is making sport of us.

We really don't care how many artists you have to pay out and that you have delays, don't write "will happen, as usual, between the first and the tenth of each month" three posts before here on the forum, and "to be paid between the 1st and the 10th of the next month" on the artist dashboard, if you can't guarantee that. It's the 11th of March and no payout. Just promises, promises and promises, we just wipe out our ass with those.

They must definitely be backed up in support.  I've been trying to get my profile out of moderation for the past 3 months, and I only seem to be able to get in contact with Valentin.  Best wishes at Jamendo.  I think I'll have to take my songs to another provider. :/

    Hi,
I am in the same position as Fonogeri.

I clicked to GET PAID in early February and understood the payment to be made between 1st and 10th March. It is now 12th March and no payment.

I have remained patient and quiet but have followed this situation with Jamendo but now need to speak up.

My advise to Jamendo is to be honest. If you cannot pay for 10 months, please say - 'We are sorry, we have having major difficulties and will not be able to pay artists for 10 months, possibly one year'.

If you cannot pay money when someone has over 100 in their account and clicks the GET PAID, please say ''We are sorry, we are having major difficulties and will not be able to pay between the 1st and the 10th of the next month'.

Unfortunately, Jamendo are making enemies of their long serving valued artists. The most frustrating thing in life is when others tell you something, which then doesn't happen. Or, when you don't tell people anything because it leaves a person in limbo. It leaves a person, thinking - okay, so I will have the money by the 1st and the 10th of March but when that date arrives = nothing!

People have bills to pay and like anyone in this world, rely on money. Please, as a company, Jamendo, stop messing your artists around as it is very, very, very, annoying. Nobody can predict the future and if you are currently experiencing major problems, then say so and tell everyone - 'We cannot pay you until further notice'. Please stop telling artists they will be paid by this time, or that time, or the 1st - 10th of the next month. It is making everyone so angry with your company.

This is a shame btw - as the service, up until now, has been fabulous. Jamendo is a major success in my opinion and one of the best music services I have used for years but this current situation is ruining that relationship between the company and its artists.
