    Hello Raneu/Akusmatic!

    There are actually two topics:

    (1) The usual payments resulting from the 'Catalog' program that your can request on a monthly basis from the 'GET PAID' button in your artist account.

    (2) The In-Store injections, which have to be displayed in your account. Once displayed, you can request them through the 'GET PAID' button of your account.

We're completely up-to-date with (1) but we indeed need to start injecting In-Store revenues (2) again and to go back to the regular flow. We've centralised all questions in this thread, see the official comment (just below the first reply),which will be updated in real time as we can let you know more.

We're doing all we can to get back to the community with a proper date asap.

Regarding the answers, we've accumulated some delay due to some missing staff but we're catching up and we're welcoming a new team member at the beginning of February, so we're getting back to normal! Please accept our apologies for this. And don't indeed hesitate to post here if you need information!

    Hello Valentin,

first, thanks for your fast reply.

I hear new dates and announcements since weeks, so I am not very glad hearing another one.

I will watch this forum daily, and I also would appreciate an explanation how this could happen and what Jamendo will do to

avoid such bad things in the future.

    Hi again Raneu,

Thanks for the quick reply and I definitely understand.

We'll make sure to only update the official comment once we have a definitive date. We'll also make sure to let you know more about the future schedule.

If you need anything until then, don't hesitate to post!

    Best,

    Hi Valentin,

I have 10 albums so far in your Catalog program and haven't seen anything changed since last May. Why are you writing that you're completely up-to-date with it? Do you confirm that what you're saying is true?

    Cheers,
    Gergő (Fonogeri)

    Hi Gergő,

the way I understand it, the payments are completely up to date now.

The In-Store injections are still missing, so you won´t see any transactions since last may.

Anyhow, a detailed information how this could happen for such a long time is still missing.

    Cheers,

    Akusmatic

    Hi Akusmatic,

Thanks, well, it can be so... I don't know. :) I understood it the way that the Catalog program has got back to the normal flow, and if so, then it should pay out on a monthly basis, so we should see it by now. But yes, it could be the way that you wrote.

Anyway, promises without a deadline means nothing in business. Plus, no staff problem should result in such a bad delay, this is nonsense at Jamendo. Just imagine your pizza delivery not delivering out to you on the same day, but 2 days later because their baker guy got ill, or got fired, or something like that... or, not getting your salary in time because of your company's accountant is on a holiday. There are ways to solve such problems in case of sudden dropping out. But this, at Jamendo, pff..... something else must be behind it, but I really don't care by now.

    Thanks for your comment!

    Cheers,
    Gergő (Fonogeri)

    Hi at all,

For months I write emails to JAMENDO and there are always empty promises.

I was promised to update everything and make a payment last week.

    Nothing has been done !!!

JAMENDO lies to us every day :-(

    Here is a current screenshot.

    Regards,

    Ralf (Ralf G.)

    Hi everyone!

I'll try to answer all 3 messages at once:

A common misunderstanding I think is the notion of payment versus injection:

In your case a good 80% of your revenues come from the 'In-Store' program, music for stores. Since we've had delays with the injections of those revenues, it's been harder to reach the 100-unit threshold, hence the fact that you haven't been able to request a payment in a long time. It's not the payment itself which is late, it's the injection allowing you to request that payment. It doesn't make the situation any better, but it's important to have this nuance in mind when I speak of the PayPal payments.

The majority of our artists receive their earnings from the 'Catalog' program meaning music for multimedia projects. Those sales are displayed in real time in the artist accounts.

When I refer to 'PayPal payments' being up to date, I refer to the artists having clicked on the 'Get Paid' button.

In your case or in the case of Ralf, we need to first inject the In-Store revenues so that you reach the 100 unit threshold to request a new payment.

We're still doing our best to communicate you a date asap when it comes to the In-Store injections.

I hope this helps clarifying the difference between the PayPal payments & the In-Store injection / In-Store revenue display.

@Ralf, very interesting, my account looks absolutely the same, same dates for last injection and last payment!

So what exactly happened? Technical difficulties as this should be an automated process?

@Valentin: I think it is needed to explain the situation more in detail, what do you think?

Do you have to make the injections from the last 8 months per hand and will they be complete?

    Questions, questions, questions...

    @Valentin

It's not about the PayPal payments !!!

    It's about the In-Store injection / In-Store revenue display.

Why are these no longer displayed for eight months? Please answer this question, only this, thanks.

    @raneu

    Yes... questions, questions, questions...

When it comes to In-Store injections, we're just in the process of making it fully automated, hence the fact that we have to manually do it.

    In-Store licenses work as follow:

A sale is made in January 2018 and the revenues for this sale are calculated exactly one year after based on:

    • The number of plays that occurred in this one year period
    • The weight of the songs of an artist versus the total pool of songs

The number of plays is a combination of automated work & manual reporting:

A good part of it is automated, we're talking about plays in our web player so it's monitored in real time.

Another part is manually tracked, we're talking about partners downloading the content & sending us reports of what's played, what's not played and when. We've sadly noticed inaccuracies in the latter and it took a lot of back & forth to clarify the issue.

This is now behind us and the only remaining task is to plan this injection and that's where we're waiting for the finale information.

Hi, like other artists don't receive info about my tracks on your stream licensing from june of 2018. Whta's your model of bussiness?' Think about musicians and his work?? This issue maybe make down your model of bussiness, cause don't forgett, we make product of you sell, no product, no sell.
